Ms. Islam’s position as Executive Vice President at MYF places her as the Foundation’s second-in-command, allowing her to oversee matters that define the entire MYF experience. She has direct control over the following divisions:

The Division of Academic Affairs, the Division of Finance and Administration, the Division of Information Technology Services, and the Division of Communications and Marketing.

Her appointment to serve in the administration as the first Interim Vice President of Finance and Administration going back to 2016 is a testament to her commitment to the organization. Ms. Islam took on the position of Executive Vice President/COO on January 9th, 2017, under the leadership of President Morris who considered her the “chief enforcer” of the Foundation because of the authority she holds within the organization.

In her role as Chief Operating Officer, she has primary responsibility for assisting the President in optimizing the Foundation’s operating performance and helping the Foundation achieve its programmatic objectives. She provides managerial oversight for several organizational-level offices including Personnel Management, Management and Budget, Advancement and Giving, and more! She is also responsible for coordinating and overseeing the Foundation’s strategic planning, participating as the leading member in the development of operating services, and providing executive oversight under the direction of the President.

Furthermore, in addition to being the first point of contact for stakeholders of the foundation and the principal executive of the foundation, she is also the longest-serving executive in the 6 years of its existence.
